About me

Hello! I’m Akiko, a Japanese teacher and occupational therapist living in Kobe, Japan.

I studied the Bible at Christ Bible Seminary (CBS) in Nagoya. While studying there, I met missionaries and business professionals from many different countries who attended local churches. They often asked me questions about the Japanese language and Japanese culture.

As I looked for helpful resources, I realized that there were very few websites or learning materials that taught both Japanese and Christian expressions together.

That inspired me to start teaching Japanese in a different way.

My goal is to help people learn practical Japanese for everyday life, business, travel, worship, prayer, Bible study, and communication in Japanese churches.
