My name is Akiko, and I am follower of Christ and a certified Japanese language teacher.
For many years, I worked as an occupational therapist, supporting people in their recovery and daily lives. During that time, I often met foreign friends and visitors at church and in my community who were striving to learn Japanese. Their dedication inspired me, and I felt called to use my skills to support them in their journey.
My passion is to support pastors, missionaries, business professionals, and anyone interested in learning Japanese—especially those who come from overseas to Japan. I want to offer help through language so that communication becomes easier and their work and mission can be even more effective.
In addition to general Japanese and medical Japanese, I also specialize in teaching Christian Japanese. The Christian faith often uses unique expressions that are not usually found in ordinary Japanese classes. By learning Japanese through the Bible, I believe that students can connect their language study directly with their Christian life and ministry.
